Favorite Floral Scents
There’s something about a floral fragrance that puts you in the right mood.
I have a few musky, earth perfumes to wear on evenings out but my go-to scents usually fall in the floral category. Some of my favorite flowers have perfumes that simulate their intoxicating aroma. Here are a few of my staples that get replaced when the bottle runs out.
La Tulipe says spring has arrived in no uncertain terms. Lucky for me it is also available in body cream, shower gel and even hair perfume.

Rosa, by Santa Maria Novella takes on the scent of the queen of perfumery, Rosa centifolia, May rose, or the cabbage rose. I once spilled a whole bottle of this on a pair of shoes and fondly wear them to this day.
A little stronger than other floral perfumes, make no mistake that Diptyque’s Geranium Odorata Eau de Toilette also evokes the coming of spring and everything floral. A little dab here and there and you are ready to smell sweet all day long.

Certain fragrances emit fond memories and other nostalgic notions so it’s difficult to name just a few. Here are some that round out my list. I’d love to hear your favorites. Maybe you’ll discover something new.
The Barney’s and Neiman’s gift bags in the cosmetics departments kept me stimulated for years. My girls always looked forward to checking out the samples and adventuring into the ever-changing fragrance world.
