Books to Read Now

I’m on a streak

The last six books I’ve read have all been winners, and I’m dying to share them with you. When looking for a new book, I research Goodreads to find the genre I’m thinking about or check out what the buzz is, Then I cross-reference on Audible to double-check reviews. I also ask friends what they’ve read lately. I’m trying to branch out of my usual historical fiction or biographies, and I’m happy to say I’ve found a few I think you would like.

A thriller set on a secluded island off the coast in Ireland. The plot keeps you guessing and fabulously all come together in the end.

It is such a luxury to open a new book that’s highly recommended by friends - either an inspirational yet humorously self-deprecating memoir, or a page-turning piece of fiction.

From one of my favorite authors of The Nightingale and The Great Alone, this story takes place during the Dust Bowl. It is an epic tale of survival like you can’t imagine.

An old favorite that has some laugh-out-loud moment and some of utter sorrow. Written with the eloquence of a wordsmith, you can’t go wrong with this novel.

Here’s why I love these

Can’t go wrong with Ann Patchett - the adventure is incredible! Love anything set in New Orleans. Working my way through all the Bronte sisters’ novels and excited about the journey.

Please let me know what you are reading.
