Style Icon - Jenni Kayne
Jenni Kayne has long been a favorite designer of mine
We often don't find a designer who can capture so much of what we love in a single brand. Jenni Kayne is that person for me. She has been an entrepreneur since launching her namesake label at the age of 19. According to a Forbes article, Kayne said her signature style came naturally to her. "I have wanted to be a designer since I was young, and I have always had a clear aesthetic. I wanted our customers to be able to experience the JK world. I loved that our customers could get the story of our brand and become more intimate with who we are – from the music we listen to in the store to the smell of our classic L'Artisan Amber Balls."
She doesn't stop at clothing - there is also a line of home decor and furniture. Her popular blog, Rip & Tan, is where she infuses her pages with her class on everything from fashion to wellness to entertaining to food and drink.
I was first introduced to her lifestyle brand when I visited Montecito, California where she had both a clothing store and a home goods store. I immediately fell in love with her California luxe esthetic of soft fabrics, simple lines, and the mix and match ability of the pieces. Her sweaters are something I wear all year round. At this writing, I am wearing her sweater coat with two front pockets in navy. I wear it with all the jeans I own. Jenni Kayne is known for her bestsellers that don't go away after a season; they reappear in other colors.
Did I mention accessories?
Home decor is simple and comfy and relaxed.
