Summer Hats to the Rescue
A great hat can do double duty
By now, we all have our favorite face masks that help cover our mouth and nose, but what about a fabulous hat to protect your head and face? A good hat will serve many purposes: protecting your face and head from the sun, hiding unmanageable hair, and looking stylish at the same time? My latest discovery/obsession to fit this need is Lola Hats out of Brooklyn, New York.
A little bit about the brand from their website: Lola Ehrlich was born in Holland and grew up in Paris, where her parents—an artist and a writer—encouraged her creative side while keeping her out of school. After failing as a ballet dancer, she moved to New York, where she worked as a crafts designer, textile conservator, and magazine editor. Lola then opened a shop on Saint Marks Place, specializing in one-of-a-kind hats for East Villagers and a few adventurous uptowners. Her hats are available on her website, in boutiques and at online stores like Moda Operandi.
Getting the right fit is important
Some of us struggle with finding a hat to fit our heads. This Commando hat by Lola is adjustable and will fit most head sizes. Also, the natural raffia used in the caps is a neutral color that will compliment most outfits.
To view the entire collection of Lola Hats, check out the website and let me know which one is your favorite. There is also a Bargain Basement with incredible prices on sale hats.
