Winter Rescue for Your Skin
Dry winter weather means extra skincare is needed
Cold air, low humidity, and high winds outdoors can strip your skin of much-needed moisture. It doesn't matter if you live in sunny Southern California or on the breezy East Coast. We are usually turning up the heat and taking hot showers during the winter, affecting our skin. Our skin loses natural oils in these conditions allowing moisture to escape, which leads to dry skin. Here's a look at my favorite skin savers during the winter months.
I learned about Attar, a multi-use moisturizer, from another blog I follow, and the reviewer said that if she had to choose one product only that she would own, what would it be? She chose Attar from Monastery. The smell of this balm is intoxicating and can be worn both day and night. I use more at bedtime and about half the amount for the daytime. This is how Monastery describes Attar, “… an essential-oil free nourishing balm full of precious ingredients that protect skin and boost its glow. Hazelnut, rosehip seed, rare rose extracts, jasmine sambac, and Indian tuberose fortify skin with essential fatty acids and vitamins A, B, C, and E, which stimulate regeneration, repair UV damage, and soften fine lines.” I am on my third jar and can’t live without it. I now pair it with their Rose Cleansing Oil and Flora Botanical Cream Serum.
