Easter Egg Dying with Shaving Cream

With Easter quickly approaching and many of us are housebound, here’s an easy way to dye your eggs using ingredients found at home. Shaving cream and food coloring are all you need to create these vibrant tie-dyed looking eggs.

Here’s how to create these beauties at home.

Directions

1. Start with 6-12 hard-boiled eggs. Dry completely.
2. Spray shaving cream (the foam sort, not the gel) into a muffin tin.
3. Place several drops of food coloring into each cup. Swirl with a cotton swab.
4. Gently set eggs in the cups, swirling several times, until completely coated.

Have fun mixing colors. Any combination will do.

5. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes.
6. Remove eggs and rinse with cold water.
7. Enjoy your decorative crafts!

Note: If you want to consume the eggs it is recommended to use whipped cream in place of shaving cream.
