Beach Days Are Here!
It’s officially summer and we’re heading to the beach!
My summers were spent at the beach with my family. Growing up in a household of 8, we rarely went to a destination that required hotel rooms; our option was renting a beach house. We would crowd in a two-bedroom cottage and take turns sleeping on an actual bed. Otherwise, it was a cot on the sleeping porch. It didn’t matter; we were happy to spend all day, every day at the beach. Back then, I wasn’t so concerned about sun protection, but now, I fill my beach tote with items that will keep me safe from the rays and some fun things to keep me busy as I lounge.
Beach Towels - You’ve gotta look good with your toes in the sand.
Beach towels don’t seem to last year after year, so I try to buy a couple of new ones at the beginning of the season and retire previous years to the pool and plumbing overflows. I found this beach towel (below) while walking the streets of Savannah last year. Spartina 449 is a South Carolina women’s apparel and purely Southern accessory store. The clothing is bright and upbeat, and the beach towels are to-die-for. Oversized, absorbent, and colorful, I had to get one that represented Southern California.
Here’s the other necessities that keep me at the beach all day long.
Let me know what’s in your beach bag.
