What better combination than gin and roses. Easy to make, just plan ahead.

Gin N’ Roses

Makes one cocktail

Ingredients

2 oz rose-infused gin or vodka (make 1 day ahead)

2 oz fresh pink grapefruit (or regular grapefruit) juice

1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice

splash of simple syrup

fresh grapefruit, rose petals and thyme spring for garnish

Directions

  • One day ahead, infuse gin (or vodka) with dried rose petals in a glass jar. See youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ab2faWsCIE

  • Fill cocktail shaker with all ingredients and a cup of ice. Shake vigorously (at least 20 times). Pour through strainer into desired glass.

  • Note: Remember, when making cocktails, if something is too strong (add more juice) or not strong enough (add more liquor) fix it until it is perfect for your taste. Cocktail recipes are only a guide to your comfort zone.

  • Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit, crumbled rose petals and a spring of thyme.
