Repurposing Great Pieces

Sometimes I can spend the good part of a Saturday rearranging the shelves in my house. As the seasons change I love finding new ways to use pieces I already own. Here are two ways to make floral arrangements using a foot bath and a milk pitcher.

The planting begins with a potting soil base, orchids are arranged next (we used 6 plants for this 18” x 12” foot bath), more soil, and moss is tucked in to hide the dirt. Watering is placing an ice cube at each stem once a week. A floral tip to keep the stems erect is to tie them to twigs using raffia and placing a little moss in the tie to give it a natural look.
